I finally sorted through hundreds of pictures and found some of the best ones to post... this was our fun trip in late March to visit my dad and step-mom ("Grandad" and "Mimi").
TRAIN RIDE... no trip to Chattanooga would be complete without a ride on a train! This was not the Chattanooga Choo Choo, but it was a fun ride for the girls on a rainy day.

CAROUSEL RIDES... the carousel at Coolidge Park is an old-fashioned carousel with hand-carved, hand-painted animals to ride on... it's really neat, and the girls LOVED it. Needless to say, we rode on it a LOT of times -- it was quite a hit with both Rachel and Caroline!

TENNESSEE AQUARIUM: Chattanooga has an incredible aquarium that fills two enormous buildings -- one is primarily saltwater, and the other is mainly freshwater. We could have spent a few days there, but only had time for the saltwater building. We enjoyed seeing lots of fish, sharks, penguins, sting rays, other marine life, and a butterfly garden. Here are a few highlights from the aquarium.

Caroline was definitely tired and ready to go home!

WALNUT STREET BRIDGE: We enjoyed a nice, windy stroll on the pedestrian-only bridge that goes between Coolidge Park (by the carousel) and other downtown attractions like the aquarium.

OTHER PICTURES: At a neighborhood playground near their house:

The grown-ups had fun on the playground, too
